About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Analyst to join our IT Service Desk team. You will be a crucial part of delivering outstanding IT support across a group of companies, supporting over 600 users located across multiple sites in the UK, Japan, and the Netherlands. This role will involve providing both remote and on-site desktop and infrastructure support, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all IT services.
As an IT Support Analyst, you will handle a variety of technical tasks, from resolving complex incidents to implementing new technology solutions in collaboration with our infrastructure team. This role requires a professional with strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to provide exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and respond to Service Desk tickets, providing 1st and 2nd line support for users across multiple locations.
Deliver remote and onsite support for PCs, notebooks, smartphones, tablets, printers, and other devices.
Administer Windows Servers, Azure, and VMware environments.
Collaborate with infrastructure engineers to deploy new Cloud solutions in line with the IT strategy.
Troubleshoot and support a range of software applications, including Office 365 and Sage X3.
Conduct advanced printer and peripheral device troubleshooting.
Oversee Patch Management and ensure systems are kept up to date and secure.
Assist in the deployment and roll-out of new technology projects within the group.
Mentor and cross-train team members on current and emerging technologies.
Provide training and guidance to other departments on best practices for using company systems.
Perform periodic site visits across the UK to deliver on-site support as needed.
Handle after-hours support for IT emergencies and occasional weekend maintenance.
Maintain accurate documentation of assets, inventory, and system configurations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, including Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, and Quality and Environmental standards.
Required Skills & Experience
Previous Experience: Proven hands-on experience in an end-user support role or computer operations environment.
Technical Proficiency: Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11, network and PC operating systems, including Windows Server (2012 / 2016 / 2019) in physical, Azure, and VMware environments.
Network Skills: Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking and ability to troubleshoot network issues.
Software Expertise: Extensive experience with Office 365 administration and support.
Hardware Knowledge: Excellent understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration.
Active Directory: Experience in Active Directory Group Policy, and user and group administration.
Communication: Excellent telephone manner and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to Detail: Ability to work accurately with detailed information and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Desirable Skills
ITIL Foundation certification.
Microsoft Certification (MCP) or equivalent certifications.
Experience in Microsoft Azure administration.
SharePoint administration and site development skills.
SQL Server administration knowledge.
Experience supporting ERP systems like Sage X3.
Proven history of delivering IT projects successfully.
